Disconnectors and Earthing Switches – Technical Features
Pelka disconnectors and earthing switches are designed and manufactured to provide safe operation, reliable earthing and long-term mechanical performance in medium-voltage power distribution systems.
The products enable the relevant sections of the system to be safely isolated under no-load conditions during commissioning, maintenance and testing activities. By providing reliable earthing of de-energised circuit sections, they contribute to improved personnel safety and operational security.
Pelka disconnectors and earthing switches are developed in accordance with the requirements of IEC 62271-102 for alternating-current disconnectors and earthing switches. The standard applies to indoor and outdoor AC disconnectors and earthing switches intended for rated voltages above 1 kV.

CESI Type Tests and Certificates
Certificates of conformity and short-time and peak withstand current test reports issued by CESI, Italy, are available for selected Pelka disconnector and earthing-switch models and ratings.
The available documentation covers indoor and outdoor product configurations at various rated-voltage and short-circuit withstand levels. The scope of each certificate and test report should be evaluated according to the relevant product type and rated characteristics.
