Metal-Clad Switchgears and Controlgear in Compliance with IEC 62271-200

PVP and PELMCC type switchgear systems developed by Pelka Elektrik Engineering are designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of IEC 62271-200, providing a high level of safety, durability and operational continuity.

Panel Construction

PVP and PELMCC type panels consist of metal compartments manufactured from 3 mm thick sheet steel and a movable circuit-breaker truck carrying the vacuum circuit breaker.

The sheet-metal components are processed with high precision using CNC laser-cutting and NC press-brake bending machines. Punching, bending and welding operations are performed in accordance with internationally recognised manufacturing practices.

The standardised positioning of holes, studs and connection points across panels of the same type simplifies assembly, improves production consistency and ensures component compatibility.

Panel Compartments

Each panel consists of the following functionally separated compartments:

• Busbar compartment
• Circuit-breaker compartment
• Cable connection compartment
• Low-voltage compartment
• Voltage-transformer compartment

The metal-clad construction provides physical separation between the main components, contributing to safe operation, easier maintenance and a high level of service continuity.
